REALITYMAPS | ABOUT
RealityMaps is a small blog site shared by three anonymous writers interested in how our thoughts and beliefs define and map our realities. We are often more interested in how people believe than what they believe. It is not a question of dismissing beliefs as true or false, or opposing one belief with another, but understanding how beliefs fit together to form a worldview or realitymap, and the limitations of those realitymaps.
We also cover some controversial topics that many others avoid, because we are trying to promote more accurate and complete realitymaps that have fewer omissions, contradictions, and artifacts. Poor maps lead to confused and lost individuals, and, from a wider perspective, a broken society.
For us, all ideas and perspectives are on the table for examination, even those that are dear to the alternative community (of which we three feel we are all a part). We are all used to the orthodox dismissal of alternative ideas, and the alternative dismissal of orthodox ideas, but genuinely open-minded reviews of ideas and their concomitant realitymaps are not so common.
Finally, RealityMaps always remains as apolitical as possible. We are not interested in the bread and circuses of partisan politics, which only limits discussion and keeps perspectives superficial. If we are going to wake up and become conscious at this time, we need to dip below the morass of unconscious assumptions and really understand why reality appears to us individually and collectively the way it does.
